Problems with url rewrite

When I set the $_CONF['url_rewrite'] = true; I loose the logo image in the header of the page which is being called from the article.php. The path it is using is http://afrikaanschat.com/article.php/afrikaanschat.gif.
I have tried everything without any luck.....please help. Thanks. By the way I will be sharing the transalation as soon as I have it complete...AFRIKAANS.

Try changing this:

to this:

<img border="0" src="{site_url}/afrikaanschat.gif" width="799" height="160" align="left" hspace="0">

 

in your header.thtml file.
