I love geeklog where I see it being used and wouldl love to start one of my own but I am lost right from the start - I am computer savvy but not programming savvy. Is there a place online that would offer help to a rank beginner?

I downloaded geeklog and have no idea where to "find" what I need to open .tar extensions - the site says it assumes you know how to open a .tar- well I don't- so I need real beginnner instruction - I thought I could find info on the web but none was helpful

try using winrar to unpack your tar file. from there you'll find lots of documentation inside.
