Rss feed (portal block) updates - log error only

Is there a way for me to set the portal blocks so they keep the last feed update if there is an error trying to retrieve the next one? I would rather have the visitor see a slightly outdated feed than the error. I'm having an issue with my host for some reason, they keep erroring out at least once a day.
