GL won't send password email to new users

when new users log into my site (www.medsim.net) to make a new account, GL states it will email them a password.. I tried it a few times as have others... it doesn't send them an email when they log in... why is that?

how does one fix this problem?

I am using GeekLog v1.3.9sr2

You're not giving us a lot of information to be able to help you. Which methods of sending email have you tried? Any error messages in error.log?
