I am a new user who is considering geeklog to manage our church extranet.
One question that I have, however, is if there is a marketplace where I can post offers for custom design work for a template/theme.
I don't like the system that much, but I really like the look-n-feel of the postnuke home page, with top navigation bars, the message topics as section headers, and just the subject line listed for each message. When you select an article, you're taken to a traditional three column layout.
None of the themes that I looked at on the demo site were even close.
First, is this even possible with the geeklog structure?
If so, what is the best way for me to find and hire a designer who can make this happen?
Thanks.

you just did it. Quote by davidsmith: is this even possible with the geeklog structure?
yes, it only involves creating a staticpage according to your prefered layout for that page (with or without blocks, columns, menus, etc.) and setting it as the frontpage. The rest of your theme will remain intact--2 or 3 columns, whatever you prefer. That's only one way to accomplish what you want. there are a few.
