VisitorStats odd behavior

I have gl 1.3.10 running and I recently installed the VisitorStats module. It is collecting data, but unfortunately when I look at the stats there are no per-story stats. It shows a lot of hits for "article.php" without actually telling me which article. I wonder if this is because I have turned on "URL rewriting" or something.
Any solution?
I would like to know which stories users are viewing.
