Backup

I'm running 1.3.9sr2 and get this when trying to back up the database:

ERROR: Directory /home/wopsa5c/public_html/geeklog/backups/ is not accessible.

Is this a permission problem for the directory?
When looking up the path through FTP it seems okay.

Make sure you have the perms set to 777 on backups.

Yes, it was the permissions, but then I got this message.

There was an error.
Incorrect path or mysqldump utility not executable.
Check $_DB_mysqldump_path definition in config.php.
Variable currently defined as: /usr/bin/mysqldump

What now ?

It sounds like your host doesn't have mysqldump in the normal place. You'll have to look around to find the executable on their system.

The most common locations on a unix machine would probably be /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin/. Some might also do /usr/local/mysql/bin/. You can always trying to find it using the unix commands "which" or "where":

Text Formatted Code

> which mysqldump
> whereis mysqldump

You could also just contact your web host and ask where it is (or if they even have it).
