Stuck on step 1 of 2 of install page

I am trying to install GeekLog 1.3.9 SR 2 onto a machine running Apache 2.0 and PHP 5.0.2.

The actual installation goes fine up until the part where I use the GeekLog Installation Page (Step 1 of 2) located at: http://myapacheserver/GeekLog/admin/install/install.php. I select "New Database" for the Installation Type and then provide the path to the config.php file: C:/geeklog-1.3.9sr2/config.php .

I then hit the "Next" button. At this point, the GeekLog Installation Page (Step 1 of 2) reloads with the input fields reset. This is not what I expected - I would expect to see the Step 2 of 2 page load after hitting the "Next" button.

There are no errors being displayed that I can see. Any ideas why Step 1 of 2 page redirects to itself??? Thanks!

Try this

put a file called .htaccess in you public_html dir

add only these two following lines

php_flag register_globals on
php_flag register_long_arrays On

I think it is the second long arrays problem that you are having. I tried for a while till I figured it out. You might want to add this to the php.ini if you can not use .htaccess

For the record (although the original poster has it either figured out by now or given up):
