Unpacking with SSH

when I unpack the tarball on my webserver with SSH, It unpacks into a folder on my webserver called /geeklog-1.3.9sr2... I am pretty sure it needs to unpack into the base directory so the proper things can go into the public_HTML. What do i do?

It is such a pain in the ass to change the files around / upload manually with ftp.

If you have SSH access, why use ftp?

Was my hint above too subtle? Use the Unix "mv" command to move the files around once you've unpacked the tarball ...

bye, Dirk
