Actually if you have no control over the php settings you can still use Geeklog.

I've just tested "register_globals=off" in php.ini and nothing seems to have changed in my site.
What should be broken?
And what do you think about Limynali's solution?

I really want to know what goes bad if it's turned off because I want to test if I can turn it on only in htaccess instead of in php.ini .
