I see a reference to it in lib-common.php, but no absolute path.

Are there any files where the include path is contained? Thanks in advance, as usual.

the path is defined in the php.ini file hence the reference in lib-common.php to the function and parameter, ini_get( 'include_path' ).

That's what I thought - I'm seeing a reference to an incorrect path in my error message, and I pulled every file off the server and searched every one of them. Couldn't find it anywhere.
