How do I install the forum_2.3.2.1.3.9 to my geeklog site?

I have recently downloaded this forum and want to add it to my website, but how?

I don't understand the help files. I have no idea where to put the files on my ftp thing, or how to install it. I have copied them to a file named forum in the plugins folder!!!

That's as far as I have got.

Please help me someone.
