I would suggest a very small change on the geeklog.net-site: increase the number of downloads a file needs to be "popular". This site here has too many hits and visitors for the current level... I would set it to something above 100 IMHO...

As a cool feature request/suggestion for the filemgmt plugin:

Dynamically determine what makes a file download popular that scales for any sized site (5% or 10% of total downloads from the last two weeks?). Maybe use a different algorithm for very small and/or very large sites (based on downloads/week).
