At present, the digest does not recognized paragraph break. I run a campus news and people submit articles for me, Admin, to post. So I put "by author" at the top of the story text, and hide "Contributed by" tag on the story header.

That works fine until I sent the daily digest. First it shows the author as "Admin." Then in the intro text, it starts like this:

by Author the introtext...

There is no break between "by Author" and the introtext, so it confuses the reader.

The temporary solution, I guess, is to remove the Author line from the digest by editing the lib-common.php, and don't send the intro text with the digest.

Two requests:

If someone can help me figure out how to make the digest recognize line break, then I will be able to include introtext with the digest.

Secondly, if the admin is allowed to change the author's name (without going to the PHPMyAdmin, but through a dropdown menu, for example), then the real author's name can be shown through the default setting of the digest.

Is this something pretty hard to do on GL at this point?
