Remove calendar - and GL Forum stats question
How do I completely remove the Calendar from geeklog?
Also, I'm wondering if any of the administrators on this board know what kind of traffic they're getting from search engines? I know that the Geeklog cms itself is very google friendly, but what about the forum plugin...

If you remove it from the menu, disable personal calendars (in config.php) and the upcoming events block, it's pretty much invisible.
If you want to take it one step further, delete the calendar.php and calendar_event.php and remove the "Events" entry from the search form (search/searchform.thtml). That should be it.

I see Googlebot visiting forum threads, e.g. from yesterday's logfiles:

Oh and while I'm at it - if I install the forums plugin, as an administrator do I have any way to delete/move posts/threads? Will there be any further work done to the plugin to add a few more features such as users being able to edit their posts after already submitted?

Yes, it already supports that.

That is already possible. You can actually edit your own posts here.
