Question about comments

Basically, I have Geeklog running on my site and the default comments are in place. The thing is though, I don't want any users signing up at all. i removed the block, and that's fine. But, in order to leave comments as anything but Anonymous people have to reigster...
Is there any way for the comments not to be based on registration at all and just have the person input the name, email, url, like with most standard crappy generic comments systems.

I'm sure this is probably a pain in the ass question, but I'm just wondering.

No. A feature request already exists for this, but it hasn't been implemented yet ...
