hi, i'd like a little feature added/hack made for geeklog. it has to do with the user photo. i'm even willing to pay money for this feature. it'd be handy if it could be added into future releases of geeklog too.

for a quick look at what i'm about to talk about, see here (livejournal).

the way it works on live journal is: when one makes an entry or posts a comment, there is a drop down menu with the picture's keywords listed. (pictures/keywords example)

i'd like users to be able to upload multiple photos, and when posting on the website, it would show the avatar they've selected for that paticular comment. added functionality to forums would be nice too. maybe even the full view of an article? (à la DeviantArt. scroll down a bit and look for the "news" bits)

A) the website admin should be able to limit the number of photos a user has

Cool perhaps a toggle chould be added in the preferences , like turning off topic icons. thatta way users that don't want to deal with the extra image loads, will not have to.

C) users should be able to delete their photos, add photos, and edit photos/keywords.

D) other people might have some input on this too.

as i said, i'm willing to pay money for this feature. drop me a note if you're interested in the work or have questions. at a minimum, i would want items A, C, and comment functionality.

drop me a note or reply here.

thanks

Agreed, big time. I would also consider paying $20-$50 for a better userphoto integration akin to LiveJournal... I'd love to have my site members be able to upload multiple userphotos, manage them, and use them interchangibly in the Forum.

FWIW, the plugin API allows plugins to upload files (e.g. photos) via the user's profile. So this could be a plugin ...
