unfocused
Dirk,

I'm using COM_applyFilter in the things to do plugin. However, it seems to strip out everything ater a single quote. Is this a problem with COM_applyFilter, or with me? My side looks ok to me, but I could be missing something. Both

$description = addslashes(COM_applyFilter($item['description']));

and

$description = COM_applyFilter(addslashes($item['description']));

seems to have the same effect.

Cheers,

Euan.

This is by design.

I'd recommend this little piece I wrote: How to use COM_applyFilter.

bye, Dirk

Aha. Thanks, just what i was looking for. By the way, that might be a useful post to have somewhere on the site where search can find it?

Cheers,

Euan.

We don't really have a "developer" topic on the site, i.e. one for technical posts like the above. People interested in developing plugins and add-ons should really join the geeklog-devtalk and geeklog-modules mailing lists.

Just checked - on subscribing, the confirmation email is sent, but I get a Error code 500 - internal server error - on clicking submit.

Yeah, the list server throws up Internal Server errors on occasion while still doing what it was told to do. The lists will be moved to another machine soon anyway, which will (hopefully) resolve this issue as well ...

bye, Dirk
