I am trying to get notified when people submit new topics.

I've configured my email via smpt and tested it using mail users and it works fine.

I've set the 'notification' array to ('story', 'links') but I don't get any mail when things are submitted.

my site_mail variable is set appropriately (and checked twice ;-)

Any ideas what could be wrong?

It's actually 'link', not 'links'. But I assume 'story' (which is correct) isn't working either?

Thanks for the reply, this is what I actually had (I had a typo when sending the first note out sorry)

$_CONF['notification'] = array ('story', 'link');

I had this set:

$_CONF['site_mail'] = 'valid email address';

and my smpt was working as I said before.

Any ideas?

if your site name is the same as the domain name, try chaning that. it helps on my site.
