Gallery Integration Another option

Has anyone ever looked into Modifying "Smartors" phpbb add-on gallery, so it could work with the Geeklog Forum plugin?
It's a great simple gallery, and if mod'd into the Geeklog forum would allow users to upload pictures, then easily posting those pics in the forum posts (by linking to the img)
I' was just curious.
