Greetings all,
I have read all I can about changing the displayed time to local on the site and in story submissions, but have not been able to successfully implement a hack. I am running GL 1.3.9 on a Linux red hat server on the east coast.
Question 1: Is there any simple way that the time only (not the date) can be completely eliminated on the whole site, story submissions, static pages and all? I would be happier with just a date than to have the site say EST (I am in PST time zone)
Question 2: Failing that, is there any way to eliminate the time AND date right from the config or lib-common file?
Question 3: failing either of the above, is there a simple, sitewide way to eliminate the time zone designation (eg; EST, PST)
Thanks so much, all you geniuses (or is that geniey), for a totally awesome system!
BTW, the site I'm working on right now is here The layout is a modified version of mindfab's simplenay. Thanks, Mindfab!
Hans

Cancel that request. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was using the hack shown here
and entered the $_conf in lower case as shown. I guess that doesn't work with my server. I tried changing to upper case and voila ... it sure is nice when something works, and it always seems to be something so simple!
Cheers,
Hans
