I found out a rather strange "bug" that seems to be connected with the language file finnish.php:

Posting images with new stories does not work in finnish. When trying to do so, geeklog complains the images uploaded are not used in the story and tells to use the [imageX] -code, no matter what the user does.

But if I change the language from the user preferences to english, everything works nicely.

So, where should I look for the problem? I would lke to continiue to have the site's UI in finnish...

The author of the language file probably translated the word "image" into Finnish, too. From looking at the language file, I'd say using "kuva" instead of "image" should do the trick (same goes for "right" and "left").

You were right, Dirk, as allways. That solved the problem. Thanks

Somebody should fix the problem - either by transalting the instructions to finnish or the tags back to english, because now the posting instructions tell the tag would be [imageX] but it really is [kuvaX]. I don't know how many finns use the system, but they all are going to face the same problem.

There's already a bug report for this. I've been thinking about going back to hard-coding the use of the word "image" for that tag in 1.3.10 and ignoring the translations.

Anyone have any thoughts about this, please attach them to the above bug report.
