Ok how do i get where is says advaced search support themes. how do i edit that??

Look for {plg_menu_elements} in your layout/theme/header.thtml file. That constructs the links you mentioned. You can remove that variable and add your own links there, if you wish.

The text can be changed in your language file. You can also remove it by looking for the {welcome_msg} variable in the header.thtml file I mentioned earlier.
