Hey, I am currently looking for less of a portal, and more of a gallery. I need something that will allow end users to login, upload, edit names of (and captions for), delete, and view videos.

I have gallery installed on my server now, but just got it today, and havent really got into it yet. Looks like for me to customize the layout at all I will have to go w/ PHP Nuke as well.

Can GL do what I need it to do?

It should work out with no issues. The current release of Gallery integrates nicely with GL as well.

oh.. afaik you don't need any portal if you just want to use Gallery. It should be a nice standalone application with it's own user administration and so on. And it has it's own theme engine, too.
