Adding Fields to Stories

What would be the best way to add some field to my stories. Since we post stuff from other websites we run on on our site, I want to add a field for a link to the original source and original author.

Well, if you really wanted to do it correctly, you would have to write a plugin with a new table that associates stories with this new information.

It might be easier just to post that information at the top of each story, though.
