Placement of default blocks

I need to remove certain default blocks from the main page but i need them on other topics , is there any way this can be done

I can give you an example the other way round. I once tried to have the categorie menu only on the frontpage, but it is set to all pages and can't be changed (like all gldefault blocks, afaik)

wertjangt: I'm affraid you won't be able to set a block on several topics, but not the frontpage right now. Only three choices: all, frontpage, ONE topic.
