confused
I have just setup a new server I am working on getting geeklog setup. I currently have mysql and php running. I also have phpMyAdmin up and it is working fine. I was able to create the geeklog database and it is ready to go. When I go to the /admin/install/install.php page step 1. comes up fine. step 2. fine but when I click the next button on step to I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/geeklog/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 108

Please help.

Just an update on this.

I found other areas of the site that talk about php-mysql not being installed. I have looked into this and found that everything is install just fine.

The other crazy thing about this is that phpMyAdmin works fine. I have looked through the code for phpMyAdmin and it calls the same connection function. If this is so why can't I?

Please help.

Its because php is not setup to use mysql

download the php-mysql rpm that suits your build and things should be ok
