Strange comment behavior

I couldn't find this addressed anywhere and was wondering if it was just me:
at www.daraj.net, if you are using threaded comments and click the thread link for the next message, GL switches properly over to the comments view (no story at the top) but the comment either fails to appear (for me as an admin) or displays a comment in the upper tier from the requested comment (for two of my members so far).
Anyone got a solution? Or even a start on where to look?
GL 1.3.9RC1 on a LAMP server.
