hi all
i am NELz this is first topic
i love Geeklog team this is great and i have site but i read " you must have PHP 4.04 but i have site support to php 4 can i install the geeklog

the Latest stable version of PHP is 4.3.4

the server you want to use should have it

i have this site aplles.org ok
but the host for this server support to PHP4
i can't change it c i am customer
do you know what i need
can install geeklog in my site

Create a new file called "test.php" and put this line into that file:
Text Formatted Code
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
 

Then upload it to your site and call it up in the browser. It should display a huge list of PHP configuration variables.

On the top of that list is the PHP version number (the version that your hosting service is using).

"PHP 4" is usually just used to refer to PHP in general. It could mean any PHP version from 4.0 up. And I would be surprised if any hosting service would still be running on PHP 4.0.4 or an even older version, as basically any versions prior to 4.1.2 have huge security problems ...
