Where is the information that stores the content for the blocks, such as the topics, and user functions? There are things on there that I would like to add/delete on several of the different ones. I have looked for a while and haven't found anything yet, so if any knows, please tell me.

Thanks

The Topics block is a built-in function of Geeklog. To change it, create or delete topics ... And there's an option to hide the Home link (in config.php). That's about all you can do with that particular block. You may want to try the Menu plugin if that's not enough for your tastes.

On a general level, there are 4 types of blocks. Those built into Geeklog are of type "gldefault" (if you look at the Admin's list of block you'll notice that column). Their content isn't stored in the database (at least not directly) - it's either hard-coded or the information is collected at run time.

The other types of block are explained in the FAQ. Their content is stored in the gl_blocks table.

bye, Dirk

If you really want to customize them, you should either use the Menu plugin that Dirk suggested, or simply deactivate the blocks you want to change, replacing them with custom blocks. It is fairly easy to write a block that only contains a list of links. They won't be updated automatically when you add new Topics and they won't respect Topic permissions, but it's often a quick and easy hack that works on many systems.
