I got this error creating a backup: "Incorrect path or mysqldump utility not executable. Check $_DB_mysqldump_path definition in config.php. Variable currently defined as: /usr/bin/mysqldump.exe"
My site is hosted by an ISP. Safe-mode is off (will be turned on tomorrow). I don't know what the path to my mysql db dump thingie is... maybe that's the problem (OR is it always /usr/bin/mysqldump ??). I added .exe because I read that in a very old thread.
If you don't know where the mysqldump executable is, then ask your hosting service. It could be anywhere, although the default path is a common location for it.
You only need to add the ".exe" if your web server is running on Windows.
