Just want to say a big thanks to Dirk and other Geeklog folks. I'm especially grateful for the security update you just released. I helps quite a lot.

Also thanks Dirk for the time you spend beefing up the CVS version of GL and answering questions, many of which are the same questions asked over and over again. I'll try to stick around from now on and answer whatever I can. I've learned a lot from a lot of late nights and early mornings sifting through the GL code. Maybe I can help now a bit - a precious little bit.

Lastly, I've been running the CVS version and tweaking it here and there. It is soooo much better than the current version. I hope it will be released at some point for production. I love the use of PEAR for email features and that you can use an SMTP mail source. Sendmail, to put it bluntly, just kicked my **bleep** . Nice to see mail from GL finally shooting to me for a change.

Well, that's the plan

It really does take much longer than anticipated, but that's mostly due to attempts to increase security. And while reviewing the code, we'll stumble over things on occasion. For example, 2 of the issues of the latest security release have been found during code reviews, and the CVS version was already immune against one of the other issues and would have caught one more, only that it wasn't implemented yet.

So even if it's a slow (and sometimes painful) process, I think we're on the right track ...
