Default permissions

Hi,
Where does the default permissions for a submission get set. I would like to make the default where anonymous has no access for all submissions.
Thanks in advance

Have you checked in the config documentation?

Thanks for your reply, but I still don't see it. I am looking to have the anonymous read unchecked on all submissions as the default.
I must be missing something?
Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for weighing in.... I must be too dense for this. When I looked in the config file for misc, I find trhe login required section. I have this set for login required.
When someone submits a story/link/file, or anything else, we have to uncheck access to anonymous read. This is what I cannot find here.
Sorry to be a pain. I have been looking for some time.

Story permissions are actually inherited from the permissions of the topic they are posted under. So unchecking the "Anonymous R" checkbox for all topics should do what you want.
Or rather, that's how it works for stories submitted by normal users. (Story)Admins will always have to set the permissions manually, but Turias' hack should take care of that, too.
Since there is no such thing as a topic for links, etc., you will have to make similar changes to other files as well.
bye, Dirk

I had unchecked the permission in the topics some time ago. It does not seem to have any effect on the new subbmisions but does stop anonymous users from viewing the topics. I will alter the php files as suggested by Turias.
Thanks again,
Jim
