I'm writing a plugin and would like to include screen captures. I'd like to display the screen captures as a thumbnail but only store fullsize images on the server. The thumbnails will be linked to the fullsize images so if you want to see more detail you can. I know that geeklog uses functionality like that for user photos and was wondering how I would go about integrating that functionality into my plugin. I have netpbm installed and functioning.

The actual scaling of the image is handled by the upload class (system/classes/upload.class.php). Since thumbnails are only supported for images in stories (not for userphotos), you should have a look at admin/story.php to see how it's done.
