Hmm, that should work.

Is that the only error you are getting? Also, is this a fresh install (and of which version?) or is it possible that you have some files from an earlier version on your server?

bye, Dirk

Hello,

Do you have access to your httpd error_log file? Does it provide any additional information? It sounds to me like an include is failing, and as a result, a function is not avaliable. You might be able to find out exactly which file isn't working by checking the httpd log (at least for apache, this is generally where php errors are logged)

In the meantime, you did change only the paths that were specified in the install intructions right? That error dones't really look like you are missing a file path setting, but it could be caused if you changed a path that you wern't supposed to.

I got an error log from my cpanel and it was mostly missing gif files from phpbbfm, here is the error with 3 or 4 on each side of it..

File does not exist: /home/user/public_html/phpbbfm/images/suzu.gif
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: setdisplayerror() in /home/user/public_html/admin/install/install.php on line 167
File does not exist: /home/user/public_html/404.shtml

I only changed exactly what the instructions said to do on the paths... I,m not sure if this was httpd.error log but was the only
error log to dload.. Thanks for the advice...

P.S.
Being I havent had anymore possible things to check replies,

maybe someone could tell me if there is more to make sure of
than just register_globals=on on my server? or even suggest a second best cms to try other than Geeklog? thanks again for any ideas...... would truly like to get Geeklog working...
