I made a geeklog site ready in china, and provide RSS newsfeed service, but when I registed my RSS service in http://www.syndic8.com, it always told me I have a mistake on XML fomat. I have checked all the files related to the backend. but can\'t found error on it. The only thing I made changed is the encoding to gb2312, but the xml validator said an other error. I really don\'t why? any help will welcome hangshi

I did a validate of the .rss newsfeed just as a golly gee whiz and found that there is a problem on line 4 of the feed. Remove Line 1348 of lib-common.php (1.3.8), you don\'t need it. Or you can sub your own url information in there. However if you do that there may still be a problem that you will need to fix. I found that a lot of newsfeeds (XML) don\'t include it. The line looks something like this. fputs( $file, \" /n \"http://my.netscape.com/publish/formats/rss-0.91.dtd\" >n\" );

I already tested all you mentioned above, but the XML validator told me found error the same as bofore. I read some materials of XML and RSS, I think that maybe the RSS content is in chinese, because It told me all right when I changed the content of RSS into english. this is my rss link: http://www.blog2.cn/blog2/backend/blog2.xml and feedId in http://www.syndic8.com is 33340 thanks! waiting for reply! hangshi
