Disable

Hi,
I've been looking at geeklog for an intranet-like application, and so far like what I have seen. However, I can't seem to find out if it is possible to disable the "Create you own account" feature? The point is, that only the administrator should be allowed to create accounts - is this possible?
Tia,
Christian

I guess we really need an FAQ entry for this one ... This has been discussed before, but isn\'t too easy to find, as I just noticed.
Here is one thread where this has been discussed, but I\'m sure there are more ...
In addition to the tips from that thread, you could also switch on the user submission queues, so that new users won\'t get access to the site until they are approved by the admin. Wouldn\'t that make sense in an intranet?
bye, Dirk

Well I thought it might have been discussed before, but I was unable to find it.
I recognize the tips from the thread from other systems I've looked at - and discarded. It's just not practical with a solution where I have to re-write parts of code that may or may not change when the site is updated.
So I guess it boils down to the question: Does anyone know if the ability to disable this feature is going to be part of GL, or should I keep looking for another system? By the way, so far the only system I've located with this is drupal - do you know of any other?
Thanks for your input,
Christian
