I tried searching this site, and am amazed noone has said anything about it yet? Quickreply box for the forums? Anyone made one yet? Tried searching the forum-creators site but his search script is kaput and I got sick of going through post by post looking.

When I try and search the forum on langfamily.ca i just get: --- Search results for the query: quickreply 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near \'\' at line 1 --- So has anyone even heard of a quickreply hack/plugin for the forum?

You must be puting in single quotes to get an error. Just searching on quickreply doens\'t give an error. There is no feature. I\'m not sure sure how the feature would be used.

A quickreply box is one of the most useful and most common hacks on all forums these days.. saves people a LOT of load time because they have the option to reply directly from a box at the bottom of a thread, rather than clicking on \'reply\', waiting for a page to load, then doing your reply and submitting it. Its just a basic box with a submit button, no formatting buttons, no smilie tables. I\'m suprised noone has done it yet. I might have to look into doing it myself, i\'ve just never made a plugin before. Is there noone keen to attempt it? It\'d no doubt become one of the most popular plugin-hacks.
