upgrade trouble
I keep getting the error below. I have change the file from a new tarball and reloaded it... only change /path to /geeklog line and looked for space or lf after ?> line too ... and still i get :
1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near \'where display=1\' at line 1
upgrading from 1.3.7 to 1.3.8. Any ideas.

What error is written in your Geeklog logs?

Got the same problem. Most probably you have News block installed. After upgrade I received exactly same error as you did. I had to go to the DB (via phpMyAdmin), gl_blocks and disable news block. Worked for me.
