I have recently upgraded my site to 1.3.8 It successfully upgraded however at the bottom of the site were it says powered by geeklog. I have no version number. I do see in admin only block under GL version test that I’m running 1.3.8 and it says my GL is up to date. How do I get the version number at the bottom as well? I also did an upgrade of my forum from 2.0 to 2.2. Again I got a successful upgrade message but when I go to plug-ins under the Admin block it says forum version 2.0 I think it did upgrade though since I have the forum center block on my site. Is this correct?

Put this template tag in your footer.html . This will show the version number. The version number has been taken out of the themes in 1.3.8.
The forum is still 2.2. Either this has been overlooked or Blaine is waiting for the official release of 2.2 to change it.

The version number has been removed from the standard themes. This was a deliberate change in light of the security issues with 1.3.7. It's too easy to do a Google search to find vulnerable sites ...
If you want to add it again, open footer.thtml of your theme and addin the appropriate place.
The version number of the forum is stored in the database and the upgrade probably didn't change it. I'd suggest you report that on Blaine's site so that he can fix it for the final release.
bye, Dirk
