Well it's back, and although it has no new features (yet) it is fully prepared to be used with your Geeklog 1.3.6 install. Simply follow the included install instructions and you'll have a more robust story submission page in less than a minute.

You can see the enhancement in action here. And while my site is still running 1.3.5rc2 I can assure you it looks and operates the same, I have 1.3.6 running internally here at work with the enhancement installed. The enhancement can be downloaded here. My enhancement runs in any browser on any platform (certain special cercumstances prevent it from working properly). Please note that this feature does NOT make use of dhtml or Active X, just javascript. And while many dhtml/active x story submission options are available out there, virtually none of them operate on any browser except IE under Windows. My humble solution was made to operate under any combination of browser and platform (providing your system supports basic javascript)

Next up is a modest UI update, then when time permits I'll go back to my efforts at creating an alternate Flash enabled story submission page.

Has anyone succeded in downloading the file linked in this story? When I do it just comes up empty. Any solutions?

Thanks for this great feature. i love it. Is there a possibility to integrate the Submission Enhancement in my hole site? For examples in the Comment function too....---be one step beyond
