I am currently looking at getting a copy of SYSTRAN professional so I can work on an integration of it's language translation capabilities with Geeklog. My hope is to be able to track the language an article was written in, and translate between languages on the fly as neccesary. I will be testing with English <-> Japanese.
If anybody is interested in assisting with this, or has some great ideas/suggestions, please let me know.

Checking out the SYSTRAN site, I see what I am looking for is probably called SYSTRAN standard. My day job uses an older version that was called "Professional". At any rate, I've shot an email off to SYSTRAN hoping they'll comp me a copy, otherwise it's $200.00. (I don't think the Personal edition has quite what is needed for this project...)
