Way of getting around outgoing mail?

Have geeklog installed and configured the way I want, but outgoing mail requirement is a pain since my network block is blacklisted and filtered by many mail exchangers! Any way of just giving the user his password through the web interface after new account creation? (I realize this was done to protect from abusive users, but it means I may not be able to use geeklog).

I presume that you are not a spammer yourself, thus you have been hit by an ISP block by one of the major spam lists, eg. SPEWS or spamhaus. If so the solution is actually fairly simple: Take your business elsewhere. If you use an ISP which condones spamming or open relays/proxies, you are actually accepting to be associated with scumbags and/or incompetent admins. Some may find the blocking of IP-ranges and not merely single IP-adresses too harsh but it has a tendency to work. Even within the spamfighter community opinions are divided, however. Good luck with your new ISP, Jens
