I am very grateful to you guys who are sharing fantastic programming skills for Geeklog with a novice like me. I really cannot thank more. I managed to install Geeklog in my site successfully and am ready to install a forum now. Naturally I took a look at Geeklog Forum first. Then, it occured to me what is that I am installing. It may not really matter, but here goes. 1. Is Geeklog Forum built from scratch? Or based on phpBB? 2. What are the main differences between Geeklog Forum and phpBB? I know I am going to go with Geeklog Forum that has smooth integration with the Geeklog site, but I am curious anyway. I would appreciate your comments.

The Geeklog Forum is not based on phpBB or any other forum, it has been written from scratch and specifically for Geeklog. bye, Dirk

Thank you, Dirk. I hope I did not offend anybody. For some reason I was totally mistaken.

Thankfully for GL users we have the talent to write such add-ons - phpnuke use phpbb and that implimentation is full of bugs.
