I'm looking for either a plugin or hack that will run a spell check in stories that are created by story admin users. I've done searches and there don't appear to be any. Am I missing them all? Are there any in development? I'll take anything at this point. I'm not afraid to modify any files and I will use beta releases.

A spell checker would be a great idea. I know there is one available for VBulletin. Perhaps I could look at way of integrating that one and see how it can be integrated. Of course my PHP skills aren't the greatest as of yet, but I'll have a look nonetheless.

I would like to see a Spellchecker as well. I know a php forum that uses one and it works great but I don't think it's Open GL.

Add another one for wanting a spell checker. I know both Squirrelmail and net2ftp somehow have spellcheckers integrated and they're both written in PHP.

Just FYI: There's also a feature request for a spell checker. But not much more ...

bye, Dirk

There's a wordpress plugin called Wysiwyg for Wordpress 1.5+ found here that has the ability to addon a spell checker found here...

the Plugin replaces WP's default quicktags with tiny mce...

I'm obviouslly not suggesting we all switch to WP... far from it, but it might be useful for some of the designers to look at and see how easy it would be to incorporate into GL...

Most modern browsers I have used have a spell checker built in. I would say upgrade to a new browser. In my opinion the time spent in developing a system for Geeklog could be better spent elsewhere.

edit: I am also not a fan of wysiwyg editors for Geeklog so I guess you can take what I say with a grain of salt.
Yes I am mental.
