Static 1.2 Plugin

Fixed my little "cannot find lib-common" error. It was user error. I have installed the plug in successfully and I am SO close to getting this. When I pull up the "Edit" page for static page, I see {php_checkbox} as well as many other functions such as lang_accessrights} {lang_owner}: {owner_username} {lang_group}: {group_dropdown} {lang_permissions}: {lang_perm_key} {permissions_editor} {permissions_msg} they are displayed on the page and the functions are not being called. Help.

It looks like you did not install all the files belonging to the 1.2 version (in other words, you may have a mixture between files from the 1.1 and the 1.2 version). I'd suggest you carefully upload all the files from the 1.2 tarball again. bye, Dirk

I have double checked, and re-done the install.. All the database tables are created. Could you paste what the /plugins/staticpages directory/file structure is supposed to look like? Also the /public_html/staticpages directory structure. Mine looks like this: Directory of pluginsstaticpages 04/07/2003 03:27 PM <DIR> . 04/07/2003 03:27 PM <DIR> .. 12/02/2002 01:12 PM 376 config.php 04/06/2003 09:47 PM <DIR> CVS 12/13/2002 05:58 AM 11,695 functions.inc 04/06/2003 09:47 PM <DIR> images 04/06/2003 11:23 PM <DIR> language 12/02/2002 01:12 PM 15,423 license.txt 04/07/2003 03:27 PM 34 list2.txt 12/02/2002 01:12 PM 6,843 README 04/06/2003 09:48 PM <DIR> templates 01/10/2003 07:18 AM 523 TO-DO Directory of public_htmlstaticpages 04/07/2003 03:26 PM <DIR> . 04/07/2003 03:26 PM <DIR> .. 04/07/2003 03:14 PM <DIR> CVS 04/07/2003 03:14 PM <DIR> images 12/17/2002 12:01 PM 6,645 index-login.php 12/17/2002 05:14 AM 6,222 index.php 04/07/2003 03:26 PM 34 list.txt

Well, Dirk, I managed to copy the files *inside* the admin fodler to the /admin/staticpages folder. The README instructs the user to copy * the directory *!!! I think we have a documentation glitch! Anyway, the functions are there, mostly, except for php_checkbox. There is no checkbox there and PHP does not work.

Check if you have a permission called "staticpage.PHP" and that it is checked. Only users with that permission will see the PHP checkbox in the static pages editor. I'm not too familiar with the Static Pages 1.2 plugin, so I suggest you take up any further problems with the Author (Tom Willet) over on http://gplugs.sf.net/ bye, Dirk

DIRK DIRK DIRK DIRK. I am going to name my newborn Dirk--hopefully it wont be a girl. That was it. Unknown was the fact that you have to go into "Groups" then to "Static Pages" then you have to activate static.php there as well. OMFG. I have been at this for 3 days. Uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. Different combinations of install, SQL hacking. Thanks.
