I am basically from a print media but i am very much interested in this geeklog web portal source. I also want to create a site using the features of geeklog. I have basic knowledge of html and all print media softwares but nothing more. So i would like to know what all should i learn to so that i can configure and develop from a geeklog portal. Download and install phpmyadmin from www.phpmyadmin.net. This is an easy to use tool for creating and managing the required Mysql database for Geeklog. Use winrar http://www.rarlab.com/ instead of winzip for the files you download from GL site. Follow the install instruction in the Geeklog install file very carefully. If you get through this you're on your way to learning by example.
