Geeklog Forums

Just installed geeklog and getting comfortable running and tweaking. My problem/question/opportunity is: when a new user clicks "register now" after entering username and email, I get a quick flash of an error msg, "error in users.php line 317" the page then returns to normal like the message was sent. Unfortunately the password message never arrives. I believe the problem is with sending the mail. I run Apache on W2k server and run my own smtp server. I have entered the smtp server address into php.ini and still no avail. I am stuck, what else is necessary for setting up a w2k/smtp mail server to work with geeklog? <br><br> Thanks in advance, Richard

GL uses PHP's mail() function not SMTP. Try doing a dummy test and see if your server is handling that function.
