All of the sudden my menu block and admin block have disappeared. The block is still there, just empty. I'm running 1.3.6 with Tom's (I think) Menu plugin. I've tried clearing my cookies and logging out manually by entering users.php mode=logout and logging back in that way, but the same thing happens. The menu block stuff has vanished. I haven't added anything or installed anything new. Any ideas?

Of course I neglected to check error.log (sometimes I forget to turn my brain on).
Here's what is reported in .log
What I ended up doing was figuring out the URL to the Menu Admin and recreating the menu. But here's a little more detail... I checked my page early in the day everything was fine. Came back a few hours later and tried to check it again. Everything was normal except the menu block was showing, but empty. So I logged out using users.php?=logout and logged back in under a test account using the same method. The same thing happened. Block showing, but empty.
I've only been able to come up with 2 possible issues. 1. Another time when I forgot to turn my brain on, when installing the menu block, I didn't realize there was a menu admin page that allowed for easy additions to the menu. (I know I'm an idiot) and I played around with the sql tables and could have messed something up in there. 2. The only other thing that changed during this process was I switched over from IE to Opera. Perhaps I've angered the internet gods by straying from MS?
Lemme know what ya think. It wasn't a major issue, but something peculiar that may dumbfound other users. The error makes me think it may relate to user menus. I think that was an option in the config that allowed user menus, but I specifically denied that. I just went back and checked to make sure and it is turned off.

In the admin menu edit screen is a big button called 'Delete user Menus' press that and see what happens. That will delete all user menus.
Exactly which version of menu are your running? You can find out in the plugin admin page.

Update to 1.2 and that will require no database changes or changes to your core geeklog files. It is not even necessary to run the Update since all it does it update the version number. Then you will have the Delete User Menus button.
Or for a quick fix run the following mysql command in your geeklog database.
delete * from mnu_user;
That is what the button does. Scary isn't it. Oh yeah, open up a command window, change to the c:\ drive and run del *.* -- just kidding.
