I'm running a campus newspaper web site. The potential for rampant refreshes could inflate the statistics for the views of an article, which is actually how i sort the articles each week. Anyone employ the same protection that is in polls to the viewing counter? Where exactly would I go about doing that?

cookies. not perfect, but better than nothing.... you can also track ips, although this is not as good....
